about emilia g.
Hi! I’m Emilia Grace, a Cuban American, indie romance writer from South Florida. A lifelong reader and writer, I fell in love with the written word at a young age and haven’t looked back. The first romance novel I ever read was Nora Robert’s Born in Fire, which sparked a love for the genre when I realized that what was missing from other books was more kissing(!).

a few facts
I wrote the first draft of Before You Called Me Baby in 2019. It’s changed a lot.
My goal is to one day revisit the fantasy romance series I shelved after I was bitten by the BYCMB plot bunny.
I have a master’s degree in English and another in Library Science… Books are in my blood, lol.
My favorite book ever is Howl’s Moving Castle by Diana Wynne Jones and my favorite classic is Jane Austen’s Persuasion. I don’t like poetry, but took a bunch of classes on Keats and Yeats because I absolutely adored the professor (so I can speak at length about odes upon Grecian urns and gyres).
I’m a bilingual girlie and speak English and Spanish (Cuban Spanish… it’s a thing). I know just enough French to listen in on a conversation or ask for directions, part of my dream of one day eating all le croissant (I used to dream of le fromage before lactose intolerance struck).
Butterflies kind of freak me out, but I have made peace with their creepy little legs. The same cannot be said about spiders. AWAY DEVIL SPAWN!
Before I became an English major, I planned to major in Bio. I blame the shift on The Importance of Being Earnest.
